We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented General Manager to oversee daily operations of our vehicle detailing department. This role is responsible for leading a team, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Core Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee daily workflows including vehicle detailing, cleaning, washing, and polishing
- Ensure all services meet company quality standards and deadlines
Staff Leadership & Training
- Recruit, hire, train, and schedule detailing staff
- Provide ongoing coaching on detailing techniques, chemical safety, and customer service best practices
- Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team environment
Quality Control
- Conduct final inspections on all vehicles before customer delivery
- Enforce strict cleanliness and presentation standards
Inventory & Supplies
- Manage inventory levels of detailing chemicals, tools, and equipment
- Order supplies as needed and ensure proper maintenance of equipment
Customer Experience
- Greet customers and ensure a professional, friendly experience
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively
- Strive for 100% customer satisfaction
Financial Performance
- Monitor daily productivity and efficiency
- Manage labor costs and staffing levels
- Track and report key business metrics
Typical Daily Tasks- Lead morning meetings to assign production goals
- Perform quality control inspections
- Order and restock detailing supplies
- Troubleshoot equipment issues
- Handle customer service situations and escalations
Required Skills & Qualifications- Experience: 35+ years in a service-related industry (automotive or detailing experience preferred)
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold teams accountable
- Attention to Detail: High standards for cleanliness and quality control
- Organization: Strong time management and communication skills
- Drivers License: Valid license required to move customer vehicles
