Job Description:

Note: Applicants should be flexible and available to work in at least three of the following locations: Corning, Elmira, Hornell, Johnson City, and/or Ithaca.

This role leads both service and merchandising across the store, partnering with teams to ensure products are well-merchandised and customers receive incredible service that drives sales. You'll leverage strong leadership, management experience, and a passion for teamwork to create an outstanding customer experience!

What You'll Do

  • Manage and develop a team of leaders, engaging in meaningful conversations and building trust-based relationships

  • Foster incredible knowledge-based service by ensuring all departments exceed customer expectations, work together to create a total shopping experience for customers, and that the best products are available throughout the day for customers

  • Bring company programs and priorities to life, forecasting staffing needs, setting and achieving goals and holding managers accountable for financial, people and operational measures

  • Stay updated on customer and industry trends, build relationships with corporate partners and product vendors

  • Provide guidance on cross-merchandising, building displays and executing merchandising themes and seasonal plans to drive long-term sales

  • Lead the coordination and execution of store events to build strong community relationships

  • Partner with fellow area managers to lead total store operations as needed, respond quickly to emergency situations, lead continuous improvement efforts and ensure all federal and local laws are complied with

Required Qualifications

  • 1 or more years of leadership experience at a senior level or equivalent

  • Experience interviewing, selection, performance management, employee development and managing financials

  • Enthusiasm for and knowledge of relevant products and services

  • Systems aptitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Retail leadership experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
