Job Summary
Under the direction of the District Manager, the General Manager is responsible for leading the clubs overall performance, overseeing daily operations to ensure an exceptional Judgement Free Zone member experience and a financially successful club. The GM leads and develops the Assistant General Manager (AGM), Shift Leads, and Member Services Representatives (MSRs) and is accountable for staffing, training, scheduling, safety, cleanliness, and financial results.

Leadership & Team Management
Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR, and the DM to recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop the AGM, Shift Leads, and MSRs, following required hiring approvals.
Create job requisitions and offer letters through approved company systems, ensuring positions, headcount, and hours reflect approved staffing needs.
Build and lead individual development plans to support team growth and prepare team members for future leadership roles.
Build and approve staff schedules that cover all shifts within approved staffing levels and labor budgets; monitor hours and overtime and coordinate call-off coverage.
Review and approve payroll and timekeeping records for accuracy and submit them to HR on time.
Provide coaching, feedback, and progressive discipline, up to and including termination, in partnership with HR and the DM and per company procedures.
Resolve or escalate employee relations issues with HR and the DM as needed.
Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
Serve as the primary support for the AGM and Shift Leads, and prepare the AGM to serve as backup by delegating responsibilities, communicating priorities and escalation procedures, and following up on completion.
Member Services
Oversee all front desk operations, including answering phones, checking in members, and new member sign-ups.
Monitor club access and ensure unauthorized entry is prevented per company policy.
Accurately process Point-of-Sale (POS) transactions, membership changes, and payments.
Maintain accurate member records and documentation.
Manage membership billing, freezes, cancellations, and collections; refer exceptions to the District Manager.
Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and safe club environment by ensuring routine cleaning and sanitization.
Troubleshoot equipment and complete minor repairs and upkeep within company guidelines; remove unsafe equipment from service, refer specialized work to maintenance technicians, and escalate unresolved issues to the District Manager.
Follow the Lost and Found Policy by securing and documenting found property.
Business & Financial Operations
Own the clubs financial performance, including revenue, membership growth, and controllable expenses.
Track, analyze, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Month-to-Date (MTD) results, and Same Store Sales (SSS) performance.
Review results with the DM, implement action plans, and communicate progress and barriers to club goals.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Customer service experience in a high-volume environment with the ability to interact in a positive and professional way with members and employees.
Detail-oriented and analytical thinking with proven ability to problem-solve.
Conflict resolution (employee and member) experience preferred
Positive attitude with a passion for helping others.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Satisfactory background check

1+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume environment.
