This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and is passionate about developing teams optimizing operations and delivering exceptional service.Position SummaryThe General Manager oversees all aspects of the Amazon Gateway operation on the island of Kauai includingGround Support Handling of Boeing 767 cargo aircraftAircraft loading and unloading operationsPackage sortation and distributionLinehaul trucking operationsCoordination with United States Postal Service USPS Direct Delivery Units DDUsThis position is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency regulatory compliance employee performance customer satisfaction safety and achievement of client performance metrics. The General Manager must be capable of stepping into other leadership roles as business needs require.Operations primarily occur during late evening and early morning hours. Flexibility is required to support a 7-day-per-week operation including occasional weekends.Qualifications Skills & ExperienceThe ideal candidate will possess the following3 years of leadership experience in logistics transportation warehouse operations aviation supply chain or operations managementStrong background in operations management logistics transportation management warehouse operations or aviation ground handlingProven ability to lead coach develop and motivate high-performing teamsExperience with employee relations workforce planning performance management and staffing coordinationKnowledge of package sortation trucking operations cargo handling and distribution processesStrong understanding of TSA DOT regulatory compliance workplace safety and security proceduresExcellent customer service communication and relationship management skillsExceptional organizational analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExperience with reporting analytics payroll timekeeping systems and operational metricsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionExperience handling confidential and sensitive informationCommercial driving and package sortation experience is highly desirableMust successfully pass all required drug screenings and background checks including employer customer andor SIDA requirementsMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesCompensation & BenefitsPay Range80000 &8211 110000 per year DOE Depending on ExperienceIn compliance with Hawaii pay transparency requirements the posted compensation range represents the anticipated salary for this position.
