Related is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead operations at The Strathmore, one of Upper East Side's premier luxury residential properties. This is a high-impact opportunity for a strategic operator and people-first leader who thrives at the intersection of hospitality, financial management, construction oversight, and resident experience.

Key Responsibilities include:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Hire, train, and mentor on-site staff, including leasing agents, administrative personnel, and maintenance teams.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment that emphasizes accountability and professional growth.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to ensure staff success.

Financial Oversight

  • Prepare and manage property budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
  • Analyze and report on monthly financial performance, including variance analysis and corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee capital expenditure projects, tracking progress and maintaining fiscal responsibility.

Property Operations & Maintenance

  • Ensure the seamless operation of all aspects of the property, including leasing, maintenance, and security.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property, addressing maintenance issues proactively and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Supervise vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts to maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Resident Relations & Retention

  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the resident experience and increase retention rates.
  • Resolve resident complaints and service requests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Oversee lease renewals, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives to optimize occupancy.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Fair Housing laws and other housing-related statutes.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including certifications, inspections, and incident documentation.
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address any regulatory or tenant-related issues.

Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead or participate in special projects to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, or property performance.
  • Actively contribute to company-wide initiatives, including employee engagement, sustainability, and innovation efforts.

Compensation: $130,000 - $135,0000 annually + Annual Discretionary Bonus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 -7 years of knowledge of property management compliance practice and procedures related to Class A properties and/or hospitality experience
  • 5 or more years of experience with HOA, Board of Director (CONDO)
  • Experience in budget preparation and financial reporting, with a strong understanding of building operational systems, leasing and marketing
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience managing a team of people
  • Ability to analyze data/reports to develop solutions to sustain high standards of customer service, optimal revenue generation and effective expense management as demonstrated by business results in previous position
  • Ability to successfully resolve resident issues as demonstrated by work experience
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contracts with 3rd party service providers as demonstrated by previous work experience
  • Position will require some overtime including possible evenings and weekends during lease up. Hours will be mostly set but there is a reasonable expectation of flexibility of schedule
