Position Overview
The General Manager is the senior operational leader at the company, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business — from day-to-day shop and field operations to team performance, customer satisfaction, and financial results. This is a hands-on role for a confident, organized leader who thrives in a trade environment.
Key Responsibilities
Direct daily operations including scheduling, fabrication, and installation
Ensure all jobs are completed on time, on budget, and to our quality standards
Manage and develop a team of technicians, installers, and office staff
Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships
Develop and manage budgets; monitor job costing and P&L performance
Support estimating, sales, and contract review
Build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and commercial clients
Enforce safety standards and maintain all required licenses and permit
Qualifications
5+ years of management experience in glass, construction, or a skilled trade
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams and projects
Financial literacy: budgeting, job costing, and P&L management
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Experience in the home service or construction industry strongly preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business/estimating software
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
Monthly bonuses tied to company performance
