Job Details

Must Have Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience leading a manufacturing facility or major production operation with approximately 150–300 employees.
  • Strong background in precision metal fabrication, sheet metal manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or similar industrial manufacturing.
  • Direct experience overseeing cutting operations (laser, turret punch, waterjet, plasma, or similar fabrication processes).
  • Experience managing paint or powder coating operations.
  • Proven success leading production managers and supervisors in a multi-department manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience managing production KPIs including safety, quality, productivity, scrap, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply Chain.
  • Strong financial and operational business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience working within ISO 9001, AS9100, or similarly regulated manufacturing environments.

Nice to Have

  • Aerospace, defense, medical device, semiconductor, or advanced industrial manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in high-mix, low-volume contract manufacturing.
  • Experience with robotic manufacturing equipment and manufacturing automation.
  • Background in CNC machining, welding, fabrication, or precision assembly.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience implementing ERP-driven production planning and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of ITAR compliance.
  • Multi-site manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience leading significant operational transformation or plant expansion initiatives.

They are highly visible on the production floor, data-driven in decision-making, and passionate about building strong teams while improving safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. This individual has a proven history of developing leaders, driving Lean initiatives, and creating a culture of accountability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
