We're looking for a seasoned, high-energy General Manager to lead all aspects of a single McDonald's restaurant in Amarillo, TX. You'll run a high-volume operation generating $3–6 million in annual sales, leading a team of 40–75 employees including Department Managers, Shift Managers, and Crew Members. The Opportunity
This franchise organization operates 15 high-volume McDonald's restaurants across the Amarillo market, employing over 700 team members and growing. As General Manager, you are the senior leader of your restaurant — accountable for profitability, Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards, and the development of every team member under your roof. You'll work closely with your Area Supervisor, Chief Operating Officer, and Training Director to align strategies with company goals and drive employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and organizational growth.
This role commits to a 46-hour work week and demands someone equally comfortable analyzing performance trends and working the floor alongside their crew.
What You'll Do
- Foster a positive, high-performance team culture that promotes employee engagement, professional development, and long-term retention
- Recruit, hire, and develop Department Managers and Shift Managers to build a strong, sustainable leadership pipeline
- Supervise and coach Department Managers through clear goal-setting, progress monitoring, and ongoing feedback
- Lead restaurant operations to achieve financial targets and maintain profitability through effective cost management
- Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards — exceeding KPI benchmarks and excelling in Running Good Restaurant and Customer First Visit evaluations
- Manage food cost and labor systems with a focus on efficiency and margin optimization
- Drive continuous improvement across all departments to elevate overall restaurant performance
- Monitor financial data, analyze key metrics, and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps
- Ensure full compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
What You Bring
- Proven experience leading a high-volume QSR restaurant at the General Manager level
- Strong track record of developing Department Managers and Shift Managers and building leadership pipelines
- Sharp financial acumen — food cost management, labor optimization, and P&L ownership
- Exceptional organizational agility and the ability to balance competing priorities under pressure
