Position Overview:

Green Clean Commercial is seeking an experienced and highly accountable General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's janitorial and facility services business.

This is a full-time, in-office leadership position based in St. Louis, Missouri. The General Manager will be responsible for driving operational execution, managing field leadership teams, improving service consistency, maintaining client satisfaction, and ensuring accountability across all operational areas of the business.

The ideal candidate must have direct experience within the janitorial contract services industry and understand the demands of managing labor-intensive, multi-site service operations.

This role requires a strong leader who can operate with urgency, maintain high operational standards, make decisions quickly, and hold teams accountable while supporting the continued growth of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

Daily Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day company operations across janitorial and facility service accounts
  • Ensure operational consistency and service execution across all client locations
  • Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
  • Monitor staffing coverage, scheduling, attendance, and field execution
  • Ensure operational standards are consistently maintained
  • Support rapid response to client requests and operational escalations

Leadership & Team Accountability

  • Manage operations managers, account managers, supervisors, and field teams
  • Hold operational teams accountable to company standards and KPIs
  • Conduct operational meetings and performance reviews
  • Build a culture of urgency, accountability, and execution
  • Improve communication between office leadership and field operations
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and leadership development initiatives

Client Relations & Retention

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and key accounts
  • Participate in client meetings and operational reviews
  • Ensure client concerns are resolved quickly and professionally
  • Improve customer retention and operational responsiveness
  • Support account recovery and corrective action initiatives when necessary

Operational Performance

  • Monitor labor utilization, scheduling efficiency, and operational metrics
  • Improve inspection and quality assurance processes
  • Assist with implementation of operational systems and reporting structures
  • Drive operational KPI performance throughout the organization
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives

Growth & Company Support

  • Support onboarding of new business and account transitions
  • Assist executive leadership with operational growth initiatives
  • Help strengthen company operational structure during expansion
  • Support implementation of technology-enabled operational systems through SBX

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience within the janitorial contract services industry required
  • Experience managing multi-site commercial cleaning operations preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage fast-paced operational environments
  • Experience managing labor-intensive service operations preferred
  • Understanding of staffing, scheduling, inspections, and field accountability
  • Ability to lead teams with urgency and accountability
  • Ability to travel locally as needed

Preferred Experience:

  • Commercial janitorial operations leadership
  • Multi-site operational oversight
  • Client-facing operational management

  • Experience managing field supervisors and operational teams
