    About the Opportunity
    This is not a traditional retail management role. You will lead one of the founding Scenters in Scenthound's South Sound Washington expansion — working directly with ownership to open, operate, and grow the University Place location as part of a planned multi-location build-out across the South Sound and Vancouver regions.

    The Role
    As Scenter Manager, you'll own your store's performance — from team development and customer satisfaction to revenue growth and membership sales. You'll lead from the front, setting the tone for service excellence while meeting (and exceeding) key business goals.

    This role combines sales strategy, people leadership, and operational execution — perfect for someone who is confident in influencing others, measuring results, and turning great experiences into long-term members.

    This position requires -
    • Management experience
    • Customer service experience (retail, restaurant)
    • Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
    • Reliable transportation
    • Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment  
    Who We Are Looking For
    A confident manager who leads with integrity, honesty, and compassion. A successful Scenter Manager is an independent problem solver, adaptable, detail-oriented, and compassionate dog lover! We are looking for a HANDS-ON leader who can manage the day-to-day operations of the Scenter with an emphasis on critical KPIs: Labor Efficiency Ratio (LER), Average Ticket Price, Rebook Ratio, Retention Rate and Lead Conversion.

    • Drive membership sales through health and wellness education
    • Maintain a knowledgeable team that prioritizes dog wellness and safety
    • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship for the Scenter employees
    • Drive employee development through leadership, training, and performance reviews
    • Uphold quality standards through hands-on participation, employee audits, and training
    • Promptly and accurately communicate information from upper management to your team
    • Identify when/where help is needed and provide assistance to keep Scenter on schedule
    • Create an environment conducive to teamwork, open communication, and Scenthound values
    • Manage client expectations; Resolve customer concerns
    • Ensure safety of dogs and team members at all times
    • Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices

    Growth Path
    Scenthound is a rapidly growing franchise system building toward eight locations across the South Sound and Vancouver regions. This role is intentionally designed as a foundational step in that build-out. High-performing Scenter Managers are positioned to grow into Area Manager roles with responsibility across multiple locations as the business scales in these regions.
    Compensation: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
