Position Summary

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day operation of the hotel. This role oversees financial performance, guest satisfaction, team engagement, property maintenance, sales growth, and regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of service excellence.

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop hotel associates.
• Foster a positive, service-focused culture that promotes teamwork and accountability.
• Create and manage schedules to ensure operational efficiency and staffing needs are met.
• Monitor performance and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.

Financial & Business Management

• Develop and manage annual budgets, financial plans, and operating expenses.
• Maintain accurate financial and statistical records.
• Analyze performance metrics and implement strategies to improve revenue and profitability.
• Drive sales initiatives and achieve established financial goals.

Guest Experience

• Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction throughout the property.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and service recovery situations.
• Continuously identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience.

Property Operations & Asset Management

• Oversee all hotel operations to ensure efficiency and quality standards.
• Protect and preserve hotel assets, including facilities, furnishings, equipment, and supplies.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, renovations, and capital improvement projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with all brand standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
• Conduct regular property inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements.

Additional Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful execution of meetings, events, and conferences.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives and organizational success.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven leadership experience in hotel, hospitality, or property management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and expense management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous General Manager or senior hotel leadership experience.
• Knowledge of hotel brand standards and hospitality industry best practices.
• Experience driving revenue growth and operational performance.
