Overview of the Position:
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving all material used at PHS/MWA and for the initiation of Work Orders. Additionally, clerks are responsible for packaging and shipping of aircraft material in accordance with specific requirements. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk has the responsibility and authority to perform assigned tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving all work orders and creating the work order package, which includes the initial inspection of the component.
- Receiving all material in accordance with specific requirements.
- Packaging all aircraft material in accordance with standard shipping specification.
- Shipping material and communicating airway bill numbers accordingly.
- Shipping Sub-Component, New Production, and PMA Production Orders that are outside of house.
- Maintaining a clean working environment.
- Initiating the bond process for work orders that do not have the proper documentation.
- Performing all tasks in a manner that complies with MWA safety and employee policies.
- Other duties may be assigned.

- Work overtime as required by production requirements without notice.
- Competency in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must have capability to operate a forklift. (License will be required, but provided internally).
- Must be capable of using standard tools to include, but not limited to; screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets and sockets, torque drivers and wrenches, or any other tool required for a particular shipping/receiving function.
Education / Experience Requirements:
- 3 years of related experience or some combination of education and experience is possible depending on experience.
- Experience with DHL, Fedex, and UPS Worldship programs preferred.
- Experience in Aviation field preferred.
