Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dependable General Manager to lead daily operations, oversee inventory management, and drive operational excellence within a fast-paced metals manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, supporting production operations, managing personnel, and ensuring the facility operates efficiently, safely, and productively.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent organizational skills, sound decision-making abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous management or operations leadership experience required
Metals industry experience strongly preferred
College degree or some college coursework preferred but not required
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions
Reliable transportation and availability to respond to emergency facility situations
Strong problem-solving and inventory management skills
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and safety
Manage inventory control processes and maintain inventory accuracy
Coordinate and participate in scheduled inventory counts, including occasional Saturdays with advance notice
Respond to facility alarm activations when required, regardless of day or time
Lead, coach, and support employees while promoting a positive work environment
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
Assist with production planning, inventory management, and facility operations
Communicate effectively with management and team members to achieve company goals
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in the metals or industrial manufacturing industry
Inventory management experience
Operations management or production leadership background
Experience implementing process improvements and driving operational performance
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk throughout the facility and oversee daily operations
Occasional lifting of materials or inventory items as needed
Ability to work in both office and industrial environments
Availability to respond to emergency situations outside of normal business hours
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing and warehouse facility
Combination of office and production floor responsibilities
