Expected Hiring Range Minimum: $37.60
Expected Hiring Range Maximum: $50.12
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty training, and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Type: Full-Time Regular
Install, maintain, service, and troubleshoot new and existing commercial, industrial, clinical, and laboratory electrical systems and components. Provide evaluations and recommendations for electrical preventive maintenance program to keep services up to date and in compliance. Install and trouble shoot building controls, etc. Prepare stock orders for purchasing. Answer emergency mechanical system calls. Resolve minor plumbing, HVAC, and maintenance issues to support facility needs. Follow department and University policies and procedures. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
• Must have a valid Massachusetts electrician license with 7 years of experience in commercial or industrial facilities maintenance. • Experience working on renovation projects preferred. • Working knowledge to handle basic plumbing, HVAC, and maintenance issues. • Knowledge of Building Automation Systems. • Physical ability to tour buildings, access confined and overhead spaces, walk stairs, work from ladders, and lift heavy items up to 50 lbs. • Must have own set of hand tools. • Ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write fluently in the English language. • Must successfully pass background check as determined by the University at the time of hire and continue to meet standards of the background check throughout period of employment.
Preferred Requirements:
• Master Electrician License required. • Plumbers License. • Sprinkler Fitters License. • HVAC experience. • Fire Alarm License. • Certificate in BAS controls.
