Qualifications:
Must possess a valid Wisconsin teaching certificate in the subject area of employment or be willing to be licensed.
Must possess any other qualifications the Board or District Administrator) may deem necessary or advisable.

The Prairie du Chien School District is located in the rolling hills of scenic, southwest Wisconsin along the Mississippi River. Our district serves approximately 900 students across 3 buildings. B.A. Kennedy serves students in grades 3K through 2, with an enrollment of approximately 230. Bluff View Intermediate School serves grades 3-8, with an enrollment of approximately 400. Prairie du Chien High School serves grades 9-12, with an enrollment of approximately 270. In 2016, the Prairie du Chien and surrounding communities approved a 18.9 million dollar referendum, of which approximately 10 million is slated to build a new, 750 seat, performing arts theatre. There are strong links to music in many of the local festivals and events.
The Prairie du Chien School District is seeking a dynamic music instructor who is interested in general and instrumental music instruction. The position entails regular rehearsals of the 6th grade beginner band, band lessons, and assigned sections of various elementary grade levels. Our current music department is comprised of a strong team of three educators. The ideal candidate will embrace the opportunity to work collaboratively with another general music teacher, as well as the high school band instructor. Additionally, the music department is very excited about the new facility and working together to incorporate programming and community opportunities.
