Summary
The Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a qualified physician with training in adult neurology. The successful candidate will be appointed at a faculty level commensurate with experience and achievement. The successful candidate will provide clinical care for adults with neurological disorders.
Job Duties
Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient neurological care to patients.
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a variety of neurological disorders.
Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans in accordance with current standards of care.
Supervise and educate medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare learners.
Participate in departmental educational conferences, lectures, and academic activities.
Participate in clinical, educational, or research activities that support the department''s academic mission.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record.
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Serve on departmental and institutional committees as assigned.
Maintain all required licensure, certifications, credentialing, and continuing medical education requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
MD or DO degree
Must have successfully completed residency training in an ACGME-accredited program
Board-eligible/board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
