Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

Join our team as a Production Worker, where you will play a vital role in preparing and maintaining production units to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will contribute to the seamless operation of our facility.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare units with dunnage according to customer specifications to prevent damage during banding.

+ Read and interpret the dry end schedule.

+ Ensure all products meet acceptable quality standards with a goal of achieving 100% perfection.

+ Check, monitor, and enforce quality standards, including proper unitization and tagging procedures.

+ Operate all sheet line controls.

+ Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of machine and work areas before and during shifts.

+ Ensure the dunnage area remains clean, neat, and stocked.

+ Address issues with the bander promptly.

+ Conduct quality checks throughout the shift.

+ Collaborate with Shipping to resolve rework issues promptly and avoid carryover to the next shift.

+ Adhere to all safety and company policies, reporting any issues or incidents immediately.

+ Communicate with the Control Room Operator regarding overrun, underrun, or scrapped sheets/units.

+ Clear the line of any issues when the machine stops due to a Dry End issue.

+ Provide on-the-job training for new employees as needed.

+ Work collaboratively as part of the Dry End team to assist colleagues when issues arise.

+ Ensure regular and predictable attendance, with the ability to work flexible or extended hours.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.66 - $24.27/hr.
