Job Title: General Production Worker


Job Description


This role supports a high-volume fruit production facility by packing and stacking products on the production line at multiple locations. You will work with peaches and strawberries, ensuring products are properly packaged, handled safely, and prepared for shipment while following strict food safety and quality standards. English comprehension is required to understand instructions, safety guidelines, and production procedures.


Responsibilities


+ Pack and stack fruit products on the production line at the Cedar and Alluvial facilities and remain open to working at either location as needed.

+ Perform general production duties, including loading, unloading, sorting, and organizing fruit and packaging materials.

+ Inspect fruit and packaged products for quality, appearance, and defects, and remove any items that do not meet standards.

+ Operate within a fast-paced production environment, maintaining consistent pace and accuracy throughout the shift.

+ Lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly and push or pull loads up to 400 pounds using appropriate equipment or carts.

+ Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures while working in a peach and strawberry production environment.

+ Wear required personal protective equipment, including smock, hair net, beard net (if needed), bump cap, and non-slip shoes.

+ Work flexible hours, including day, night (graveyard for sanitation), and weekend shifts, as scheduled by production needs.

+ Perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks for the duration of the shift, including standing, bending, and reaching.

+ Adapt to working in extreme temperatures, including hot and cold areas within the production facility.

+ Communicate effectively in English to understand instructions, respond to supervisors, and follow safety and quality procedures.

+ Support sanitation activities during graveyard shifts as needed to maintain a clean and safe production environment.


Essential Skills


+ Ability to perform general production, general labor, and general packaging tasks in a food manufacturing environment.

+ Experience or familiarity with packing and stacking products in a production or warehouse setting.

+ Capability to lift at least 40 pounds repeatedly and safely during the shift.

+ Ability to push and pull loads up to 400 pounds using appropriate tools or equipment.

+ Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule, including day, night (graveyard for sanitation), and weekend shifts.

+ Comfort working in physically demanding, repetitive roles that require standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.

+ Ability to work in extreme temperatures, including hot and cold conditions within the facility.

+ English comprehension sufficient to understand instructions, safety guidelines, and production procedures.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ Previous experience in food production, packaging, or general labor roles.

+ Experience in inspection or quality checking within a production environment.

+ Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing or warehouse setting.

+ Familiarity with basic food safety and sanitation practices.

Work Environment


This position is based in a peach and strawberry food production facility that operates multiple shifts. You will work in areas that can be extremely hot or cold, depending on the process and season, and you will perform physically demanding, repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Required attire includes a smock, hair net, beard net if needed, bump cap, and non-slip shoes to maintain safety and food hygiene standards. The facility runs a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with graveyard hours used for sanitation work. The environment is fast-paced, structured, and focused on consistent production and strict food safety compliance.

This is a Contract position based out of Clovis, CA.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.90 - $16.90/hr.
