Job Title: General Production Worker-$18 to $22


Job Description


We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented General Production Worker to join our dynamic team. This role involves working with various materials and ensuring the quality of the final products by following detailed instructions and safety procedures.


Responsibilities


+ Read work instructions and follow diagrams to prepare materials.

+ Measure and cut materials to the correct size.

+ Apply glue, adhesives, or bonding materials to parts following specific instructions.

+ Assemble and bond materials together to create finished products.

+ Inspect products for quality and ensure they meet company standards.

+ Record inspection results and production information using scanners or company systems.

+ Repair products when defects or damage are found, following work instructions.

+ Move finished products to the correct storage or production area.

+ Separate defective materials from good products and accurately document scrap.

+ Help train new employees when needed.

+ Identify and solve production or quality issues to keep the process running smoothly.

+ Follow all safety and quality procedures.


Essential Skills


+ Experience in machine operation and working in the manufacturing industry.

+ Ability to oversee 6 furnaces and monitor settings such as times and temperatures.

+ General labor, assembly, packaging, and general production experience.

+ Mechanically inclined with the ability to push/pull up to 100lbs on carts.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ Self-motivated individual with excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

+ High School Diploma or GED is required.

+ Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Ability to work weekly overtime as needed.

Work Environment


You will be working in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels, requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, and cut-resistant gloves when necessary. The job entails standing, intermittent walking, reaching, sitting, bending, and lifting products weighing up to thirty-three pounds, with the need for visual acuity to inspect products and ensure quality standards. Physical stamina and the ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks are essential. The position involves shifts of approximately eight or twelve hours with scheduled break periods.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, IN.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
