This role works as part of a production team to fabricate and assemble quality electronic equipment in a dynamic, state-of-the-art manufacturing environment. You will flex between different tasks and work areas, including assembly, SMT support, and material movement, and will strive to become proficient in all tasks within your assigned functional area. The position involves working with small parts, following written work instructions in English, and using computers to support production activities and inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble electronic equipment according to clear, written work instructions.
  • Rotate between multiple work areas daily, including assembly, SMT support, and material movement, based on established production patterns.
  • Work in assembly by primarily sitting and using small hand tools to assemble finished electronic products and hand-add components.
  • Support SMT operations by pushing carts with reels of PCB components to machines and performing tasks that require frequent standing, walking, and pushing.
  • Perform material movement duties by going to the stockroom or warehouse, gathering parts, and delivering them to the production floor, including significant standing, counting, and walking.
  • Deliver materials to the point of consumption in response to Kanban signals to ensure continuous production flow.
  • Accurately perform inventory transactions in the system to maintain correct stock levels and traceability.
  • Actively participate in Tier 1 daily management system (DMS) meetings and contribute updates on production status and issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and workflow.
  • Keep the work area well organized, clean, and compliant with workplace standards and 5S principles.
  • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards while working with electronic assemblies, small parts, and production equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision to support overall production goals.

Essential Skills

  • 0–1 years of related work experience in production, assembly, or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments, particularly small parts handling.
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions in English.
  • Ability to use computers and navigate Windows-based systems.
  • Comfort working with small parts, including PCB components, wires, and cables.
  • Capability to sit for extended periods while performing assembly work using small hand tools.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and push carts for extended periods in SMT and material movement areas.
  • Ability to accurately count parts and perform basic inventory-related tasks.
  • Willingness and ability to rotate between different work areas and tasks as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure quality electronic assemblies.
  • Reliability in attendance, punctuality, and consistent work habits.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Training in and experience with Lean manufacturing principles (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with electronic assembly, including PCB stuffing and hand-add operations.
  • Exposure to soldering, wire and cable assembly, or related electronic production processes.
  • Familiarity with Kanban systems and basic inventory control practices.
  • Comfort working with SMT and AOI-related processes in an electronics manufacturing setting.
  • Experience participating in daily management or stand-up meetings in a production environment.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train across multiple production areas.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and collaborative skills to support continuous improvement.

Why Work Here?

You will work in a modern, state-of-the-art facility designed with employee comfort and engagement in mind, including a full kitchen, game area with pool and ping pong tables, a TV lounge, and a small library. The organization places a strong emphasis on being employee-focused and actively seeks feedback from team members to continually improve the workplace. There is a clear pathway for contingent workers to convert to full-time employment based on performance, skill, work attitude, attendance, and teamwork, with a structured conversion program that includes base wage increases upon conversion. You will benefit from a culture that values continuous improvement, open communication, and opportunities to grow your skills in a supportive production environment.

Work Environment

The role is based in a state-of-the-art electronics manufacturing facility with brand-new workstations and a highly organized production flow. The layout is comparable to a football field, starting at one end with raw materials, progressing through SMT and AOI machines, then into the assembly and hand-add area, and finishing in the packaging and shipping department. You will primarily work in the assembly and hand-add area, handling small electronic components and using small hand tools. The environment involves a mix of sitting (for detailed assembly work) and significant standing, walking, and pushing carts in SMT and material movement areas. Work is supported by computer-based systems and Windows platforms, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness, organization, and adherence to production processes. The facility promotes a clean, orderly, and collaborative atmosphere where daily management meetings and continuous improvement activities are part of the routine.
