Job Summary:

Position Title: General Service Worker
Location: Albuquerque NM, 87102
Duration: 2 Years
Work Schedule: 05:00AM - 01:30PM
Pay rate: $14.71/hr

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Perform routine cleaning and custodial services throughout City facilities.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors, carpets, and other surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Clean windows, doors, furniture, fixtures, and other facility surfaces.
• Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
• Perform basic facility maintenance and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Assist with moving, arranging, and setting up furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Maintain assigned cleaning equipment and ensure supplies are stored properly.
• Follow City of Albuquerque safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
• Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and properly.
• Perform other general maintenance, custodial, and facility-support duties as assigned.
• This position may require driving City vehicles; therefore, the employee must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to obtain a City Operator's Permit (COP).
