Position Overview
The General Service Technician (GS Tech) plays an essential role in our shop — handling routine maintenance, inspections, and light repairs while learning alongside experienced techs. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow into a full technician role, with paid training and a clear path toward becoming a Certified Maryland State Inspector.
We’re looking for someone who’s dependable, mechanically inclined, and committed to doing every job with accuracy, care, and a team-first mindset.
What You’ll Do
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, and other routine maintenance
- Mount, balance, and repair tires
- Inspect brakes and assist with pad/rotor replacement
- Conduct multi-point inspections and report findings clearly
- Assist senior techs with diagnostics and repair procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized work bay
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and other team members
- Follow all safety procedures and quality control protocols
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of automotive experience or equivalent training
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable driving both manual and automatic vehicles
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
- Basic hand tools preferred (shop tools available for some tasks)
- ASE certifications or technical school experience are a plus
