General Superintendent – Asphalt Paving

We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead and oversee our asphalt paving operations. This individual will serve as the "boots on the ground," providing leadership, developing field personnel, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple asphalt paving crews and field superintendents.
• Manage daily field operations, manpower, equipment, and production.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, owners, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Mentor and develop field personnel while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Support projects involving additional scopes such as grading, drainage, and site development as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading asphalt paving operations.
• Proven experience managing projects including:
  • Public and municipal paving
  • Private commercial paving
  • State DOT projects
  • Federal contracts
  • Airfield and airport paving
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple crews and projects.
• Working knowledge of asphalt paving operations, scheduling, equipment, production, and quality control.
• Commitment to safety and delivering high-quality work.
