General Superintendent - HVAC
Highland Consulting Group is a leading nationwide recruiting firm specializing in placing exceptional construction professionals within commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors.
We're collaborating with a prominent Mechanical Contractor firm to seek an adept General Superintendent for the the Washington DC Metro area. This role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience managing medium to large-scale, projects such as Commercial and Multi-Family projects and experience managing 4-5 Foreman. This is a full-time position primarily involving local projects with minimal travel.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure a secure work environment
- Coordinate day-to-day construction tasks efficiently
- Schedule and manage crews and subcontractors
- Facilitate timely procurement of materials and equipment
- Liaise with foremen to align on daily production plans
- Oversee and maintain quality control standards
- Provide comprehensive daily work reports and progress photos
- Offer technical expertise and guidance to resolve production issues, ensuring corrective actions are executed
- Ensure project adherence to schedule, specifications, safety standards, and meet Project Manager expectations
- Act as the primary interface with project owners
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in motivating teams for daily productivity and efficiency
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Self-motivated problem solver
- Proven track record of career stability and successful superintendent roles
- Minimum 5 years' Superintendent experience on projects exceeding $2 Million
- Preferably experienced in large Multi Family, Commercial, Large Estate residence projects
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience will be considered
