General Superintendent - HVAC

Highland Consulting Group is a leading nationwide recruiting firm specializing in placing exceptional construction professionals within commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors.

We're collaborating with a prominent Mechanical Contractor firm to seek an adept General Superintendent for the the Washington DC Metro area. This role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience managing medium to large-scale, projects such as Commercial and Multi-Family projects and experience managing 4-5 Foreman.  This is a full-time position primarily involving local projects with minimal travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure a secure work environment
  • Coordinate day-to-day construction tasks efficiently
  • Schedule and manage crews and subcontractors
  • Facilitate timely procurement of materials and equipment
  • Liaise with foremen to align on daily production plans
  • Oversee and maintain quality control standards
  • Provide comprehensive daily work reports and progress photos
  • Offer technical expertise and guidance to resolve production issues, ensuring corrective actions are executed
  • Ensure project adherence to schedule, specifications, safety standards, and meet Project Manager expectations
  • Act as the primary interface with project owners

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in motivating teams for daily productivity and efficiency
  • Strong multitasking abilities
  • Self-motivated problem solver
  • Proven track record of career stability and successful superintendent roles
  • Minimum 5 years' Superintendent experience on projects exceeding $2 Million
  • Preferably experienced in large Multi Family, Commercial, Large Estate residence projects
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience will be considered
