They are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to provide strategic leadership for field operations while mentoring Superintendents, partnering with Project Managers, and driving operational excellence across multiple commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for a proven construction leader who is passionate about developing teams, maintaining the highest safety and quality standards, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Operations
Provide leadership and oversight for multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
Lead, mentor, coach, and develop Superintendents and field personnel.
Promote a culture focused on safety, accountability, quality, and operational excellence.
Collaborate with Project Managers throughout preconstruction, planning, and project execution.
Review project schedules, sequencing, and manpower to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Assist with project logistics planning, site utilization, and construction sequencing.
Identify project risks early and implement proactive solutions to minimize impacts.
Participate in preconstruction meetings, project kickoffs, and executive project reviews.
Project & Client Management
Foster strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal project teams.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and project-specific requirements.
Oversee quality control throughout every phase of construction.
Support Operations leadership in establishing field standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance development of field personnel.
Travel throughout the Western United States to support project teams as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive commercial construction experience.
Previous experience as a Senior Superintendent, General Superintendent, or similar field leadership role.
