QUALIFICATIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES

A laborers responsibilities primarily focus on completing building projects in a timely and effective manner. The following are some responsibilities and duties of a laborer:

  • Taking apart or constructing concrete forms, bracing and other temporary structures
  • Running rakes, shovels and typical hand tool as needed
  • Operating power tools, such as but not limited to a compactor, rebar bender, saw, wire tie gun etc. with safety in mind
  • Following instructions from construction project managers and supervisors
  • Loading and unloading building materials as needed
  • Controlling the work site by putting up barriers and signs or directing traffic as needed
  • If driving, follow all speed limits and road safety
  • Tools to be put away each day and trash to be thrown out including in vehicles
  • Truck to be wiped/ cleaned out weekly
  • Timecard to be filled out and handed in by Friday (Saturday if working overtime)
