    Description

    Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on power generation assemblies, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, make recommendations for repairs and performing all critical repairs and adjustment Must be willing to work overtime as required by fluctuating workloads and available for after-hours calls as needed Perform required DOT inspections to ensure service truck is in proper, safe working order Conduct generator pre-start and start-ups in accordance with the manufacturer checklist Use resistive load bank equipment for testing and repair of generators Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations. This role involves hands-on mechanical work in a shop environment. The employee must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. These functions may include: Safely and repeatedly lifting components weighing up to 115 pounds without assistance Safely lifting, carrying, and lowering components weighing up to 65 pounds without assistance Frequent pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy materials Climbing on and off equipment and working at varying heights Standing, bending, and working in physically demanding positions for extended periods Safely operating tools and equipment Knowledge of power generator applications and repairs General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, schematics, line diagrams and other related publications. Class A CDL or Class B required or ability to obtain CDL Experience working within the diesel mechanics industry (specifically with power generation equipment) Ability to foster positive relationships internally and externally
