Generator Maintenance Technician - $20-$25/Hr

Town & Country Services is hiring a full-time Generator Maintenance Technician to join our team in Tonica, IL. You'll perform on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for residential and light commercial generators, ensuring our customers have reliable backup power when they need it most. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform preventative maintenance on standby and backup generators

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair generator malfunctions

• Test electrical and mechanical systems; verify functionality

• Respond to service calls from residential & commercial customers

• Install, inspect, and maintain fuel systems, wiring, connections

• Document all service work and maintain detailed records

• Assist with generator installations as needed

• Communicate technical issues clearly to customers & team

• Follow safety procedures, manufacturer specs, and company protocols

• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles responsibly

• Work collaboratively with technicians and support team • Continue developing technical skills through training

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• High-level craftsmanship and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record

Mechanical experience, especially with small engines, is a plus. Electrical experience is a bonus!
