Required Education • High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Qualifications • Previous experience in a laboratory, agricultural, biological, seed testing, scientific, manufacturing, or quality-control environment. • Experience handling and organizing samples with strong attention to detail. • Comfortable operating and troubleshooting laboratory or production equipment. • Ability to follow detailed procedures, SOPs, safety guidelines, and documentation requirements. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with preparing buffers, reagents, or laboratory solutions is a plus.
Summary Seeking a detail-oriented Genotyping Laboratory Technician to support daily operations in a fast-paced laboratory environment. In this role, you will help maintain efficient laboratory operations while supporting sample handling, reagent preparation, equipment operation, documentation, and general laboratory organization. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with laboratory, agricultural, biological, seed testing, or quality-control experience who enjoy hands-on, process-driven work. Candidates may rotate across multiple laboratory areas, including Chipping, Extraction, and Detection, providing exposure to different stages of the genotyping workflow.
Responsibilities • Support daily laboratory operations and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. • Receive, organize, and process incoming laboratory samples. • Maintain adequate laboratory supplies and labware inventory. • Prepare buffers, reagents, and other materials needed for laboratory activities. • Operate and troubleshoot equipment used in genotyping production. • Review, update, and maintain task-related documentation. • Rotate between laboratory areas including Chipping, Extraction, and Detection as business needs require. • Follow Employee Safety and Health (ESH) guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and established workflow procedures. • Maintain a safe working environment and consistently follow laboratory safety requirements. • Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Work effectively with multiple supervisors and cross-functional teams. • Collaborate with system support teams, research personnel, and other laboratory partners.
