Position Overview:
Devon’sGeosciencesInternship provides students with the opportunity to learn and applygeoscienceprinciples in a professional environment.Studentsparticipatein both team and individual assignments, gaining exposure to real-world tasks and projects, as well asthe latest principles of geology and geophysics to the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons in North America.This program is designed to help students develop technical and professional skills while exploring potential career opportunitiesatDevon.
Responsibilities:
Perform duties typically assigned to an entry-levelgeosciencespetro-technical professional within Devon’s Business Units.
Assistgeologists and geophysicists in evaluating prospective oil and gas trends,identifyingnew drilling prospects, and supporting projects within existing fields.
Participate in a variety of on-the-job assignments, applying and expanding technical skillsacquiredin college to support both technical and professional development.
Technical Exposure:
Further developtechnical skills gained in collegethroughreal-world geoscienceprojects.
Collaborate directly with geoscience professionals on core evaluation,well loginterpretation, and mapping data sets.
Demonstrate advanced computerproficiency, includingoptimizingand automating processes.
Exhibit curiosity and eagerness to explore AI, data, and technology, with opportunities to engage with emerging digital tools and innovations.
Education
Full-time student pursuing aGeoscience degree.
College level:Master’s student
GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
