Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Geospatial AI Engineering Intern with a passion for GIS and artificial intelligence cloud computing and spatial data-driven development. You will work alongside our MassDOTs Planning divisions GIS Data Engineering team to both develop and improve GIS data and build AIML applications and data pipelines using AWS services. This is an excellent opportunity to gain cross-functional real-world experience in the intersection of GIS and MLAI.

Duties and Responsibilities

GIS Data Engineering Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, maintenance, update, and transformation of GIS data on enterprise databases. • Assist in the publishing of enterprise GIS web services. • Participate in GIS team reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams. • Perform GIS-related technical support for agency staff. • Research emerging GEOAI technology and document how it might be useful to the agency.
