ProSidian is seeking a Geospatial Data Technician | Mapping Support. This is a contract contingent or contract W-2 (IRS-1099) mapping support functional area - energy technical consulting position; however, ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a full-time ProSidian employed W-2 position.
Provide services and support as an Energy Technical Consulting (Geospatial Data Technician) in the Energy, Science, and Technology Research Industry Sector focusing on business process solutions for clients such as the Department of Energy (DOE | OP) | DOE Office of Policy (OP). Generally located in CONUS - Washington DC and across the Mid Atlantic Region supporting a branch of DOE that leverages science and technology to address energy, environmental, and nuclear challenges, advancing climate and energy policies through strategic studies and policy analysis supporting analytical capabilities.
Updates and validates geospatial datasets, ensuring precision in mapping energy infrastructure. Align with Mapping Support Functional Area initiatives as a Geospatial Data Technician that compile and manage geospatial data for mapping, visualization, and public-facing products. Provide public comment review, data analysis, modeling, evaluation, mapping, forecasting and report development, data tracking tools, workforce policy analysis and convening, as well as energy market economic and regulatory analysis technical consulting services and support for the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Policy (OP). These services enable mission objectives involved with renewable energy, fossil fuels, nuclear energy, hydrogen, biofuels, carbon capture, energy storage, grid modernization, energy efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure technologies.
