This position offers the opportunity to contribute to diverse, impactful projects that support our clients' goals while fostering your professional growth and advancing the success of Black & Veatch.Key Responsibilities Engineering Standards Develop familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black & Veatch policies and proceduresQuality / Continuous Improvement Develop an understanding and comply with the Black & Veatch quality programSupport continuous improvement and change management effortsEngineering Production Contribute to preparation of less complex engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scopePerform routine research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selectionCollect, assimilate, and manage data for engineering workPrepare basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analysisUnderstand and adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirementsProject Coordination Share information with others as requestedCoordinate with others when directed by supervisor or project leadershipClient Focus Focus on the needs of internal clients (project team leadership) while attempting to gain basic understanding of external client's main interests and driversMay provide support to business development or pursuit activitiesKnowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology Share current knowledge of latest technology and processesPreferred Qualifications Preferred Masters Degree in Geotechnical, Civil with an emphasis in geotechnical, or in geological engineering/Engineering Geology with adequate.geotechnical and structural classes.Preferred Technical Skills Basic knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering disciplineBasic industry knowledge and technology trendsBasic knowledge of company quality programBasic knowledge of construction and constructability practices and principlesMinimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program in the applicant's home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
