Job Summary
We are seeking geotechnical/construction materials testing field and laboratory technicians to join our team in Tampa, Florida! We are a Florida based consulting company specialized in geotechnical engineering and environmental services. As a geotechnical/construction material testing field and/or laboratory technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of construction materials (soils, concrete and others) testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under direct supervision and/or from detailed procedures. 


Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Performing testing and sampling of soils, concrete, pavement, and other construction materials at active construction sites and/or in the laboratory.
  • Reviewing construction plans to determine the testing required, and track testing performed.
  • Communicating with client and project team on construction progress and testing results.
  • Preparing daily field reports of construction activities and testing results.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school education or Equivalent. 
  • Experience performing construction materials testing / inspections is preferred, but not required.
  • Experienced professionals are highly encouraged to apply.   
  • Must have basic math, calculator and computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communication.
  • Must be able to read and understand work plans. 
  • Must be able to work off shifts and overtime .
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record (required).
  • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds.
