This entry-level Geotechnical Engineer Associate I position in Mobile, AL, supports geotechnical investigations, analysis, and construction services across the Southeast.
- Assist with subsurface exploration, including drilling coordination and soil/rock sampling.
- Perform basic analyses like bearing capacity, settlement, and slope stability under supervision.
- Help prepare reports, interpret test data, and support construction observation and testing.
- Contribute to proposals, cost estimates, and project documentation while following safety and quality protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Qualifications include a Civil or Geotechnical Engineering degree, EIT certification or eligibility, knowledge of soil mechanics, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong communication skills. Willingness to perform fieldwork and travel is required. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors is necessary.
