Role Description The Geotechnical Engineer Project Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Billings, MT, with some flexibility for work from home. This role oversees geotechnical design and project management activities from concept through construction, including developing foundation solutions, preparing calculations and reports, and coordinating design/build services. Daily responsibilities include managing project schedules and budgets, leading technical and field teams, reviewing site investigation data, and collaborating with contractors and clients to implement systems such as aggregate piers, helical piles, driven piles, and drilled foundations. The position also involves monitoring project performance, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting business development efforts through technical input on proposals and presentations.\n

- Demonstrated skills in Engineering Management and Project Management to oversee multiple geotechnical design/build projects.

- Strong Team Leadership capabilities to guide engineering, field, and construction personnel toward successful project outcomes.

- Experience with Integration and relevant technical or design Software Development tools used in geotechnical analysis and project coordination.
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related field; professional licensure (PE) or ability to obtain it is preferred.

- Experience with foundation systems (e.g., aggregate piers, helical piles, driven piles, drilling) and interpreting subsurface investigation data.

- Proficiency with geotechnical and structural design software, CAD tools, and standard office software for documentation and communication.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to prepare clear reports, specifications, and client correspondence.

- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, travel to project sites as needed, and maintain a focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
