    Job Description

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a licensed Geotechnical Professional Engineer (PE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, with 3-8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

    Technical Work

    • Prepare and write geotechnical engineering reports.
    • Conduct geotechnical analyses, studies, and calculations.
    • Review technical and construction observation reports prepared by junior engineers.
    • Follow Company's Quality Assurance and Safety policies.

    Project and Client Management

    • Manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
    • Interact and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
    • Support business development through cost proposals and client presentations.

    Team Leadership

    • Provide mentorship and guidance to lower-level geotechnical engineers.

     

    Qualifications

    • Education: BS in Civil Engineering or MS in Geotechnical Engineering.
    • Experience: 3-8 years in geotechnical engineering, including experience with:
      • Foundations (shallow and deep)
      • Pavement design (highways and roads)
      • Geotechnical seismic design
      • Retaining structures, slope stability, water treatment plants, and sewer systems.
    • Licenses: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Missouri, or ability to obtain licensure.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel; experience with engineering software a plus (e.g., gINT, SLOPE/W, LPile, Shaft).
    • Soft Skills: Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
    • Travel: Ability to travel as needed; valid driver’s license required.

     

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to perform critical thinking and analysis.
    • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 30+ pounds.
    • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and perform field visits as required.
