What Youll Do As a Geotechnical Engineer, youll support projects from initial exploration through construction while working alongside experienced engineers, geologists, project managers, and clients. Responsibilities include:
Perform geotechnical engineering investigations and evaluations. Assist with project planning, proposals, scope development, and scheduling. Analyze subsurface conditions and develop engineering recommendations. Prepare geotechnical reports, calculations, and technical documentation. Coordinate drilling, laboratory testing, and field investigations. Perform construction observations, quality assurance, and quality control activities. Support foundation, earthwork, pavement, and retaining wall recommendations. Communicate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams. Assist with project budgeting and tracking.
What Were Looking For Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering 2-3 years of geotechnical engineering experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications
Geotechnical engineering emphasis Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Experience with GDOT or other DOT projects Experience preparing geotechnical reports and engineering recommendations Interest in obtaining PE licensure
