Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care and assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

• Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, transferring, and mobility exercises

• Monitor and report any changes in resident condition or behavior to licensed nurses and other healthcare professionals

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and services provided

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each resident

• Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents, including their bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas

• Participate in educational in-services and training programs to stay current with best practices and industry developments

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Current certification as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Maryland

• One year of experience in a long-term care setting, preferably in a geriatric nursing environment
