We are seeking Greek Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. German is an important European language often requested in immigration, asylum, and naturalization cases.
Responsibilities
Provide real-time German English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
Deliver services with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism.
Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge calls.
Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
Qualifications
Native or near-native fluency in German and English.
2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, community, or government preferred).
Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
Strong telephone communication skills and ability to remain accurate under pressure.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
