    Job Description:

    This job is responsible for supporting the execution of substantive money laundering, economic sanctions, and fraud compliance and operational risk practices. Key responsibilities include assisting Global Financial Crimes (GFC) executives and managers in identifying, escalating, and mitigating compliance and operational risks in alignment with the Compliance and Operational Risk Management (CORM) Program, the Financial Crimes and Global Compliance Enterprise Policy and Global Standard, and the Enterprise Fraud Risk Management Standards.

    This individual contributor role supports oversight of the Company's Global Financial Crimes Program for Global Wealth Management, Global Markets, Wealth Management Operations, and Global Markets Operations (collectively, the Front Line Units) in compliance with applicable Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) laws, rules, and regulations.

    The role requires strong risk management discipline, data management and analysis competency, experience with operational risk processes and ability to identify and assess inherent financial crimes risk and controls. Success in the role requires strong communication and influencing skills to strengthen FLU controls and enhance the Company's ability to detect and prevent suspicious activity.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead discussions with FLUs, Control Functions (CFs), Global Compliance and Operational Risk (GCOR), and Global Financial Crimes (GFC) partners to assess business processes, internal controls, client behavior, transaction activity, regulatory developments, and emerging financial crimes risks.
    • Review FLU- and CF policies and standards to ensure regulatory requirements and operational risks are appropriately addressed.
    • Contribute to the development and execution of the GFC Coverage Plan, including the identification of key risks and coverage priorities.
    • Produce and oversee financial crimes risk reporting for GCOR and FLU leadership.
    • Monitor financial crimes regulatory developments with a focus on broker-dealer activities, and advise senior leaders on emerging requirements and risks.
    • Design and execute monitoring, testing, risk assessments, and reviews to identify control weaknesses and emerging financial crimes risks.
    • Perform independent review and challenge of the Single Process Inventory (SPI) and monitor the resolution of identified challenges and issues.
    • Partner with Audit and Regulators by responding to inquiries, and participating in examinations and regulatory reviews.
    • Participate in industry forums and monitor regulatory expectations, emerging legislation, litigation, and external risk trends to identify and mitigate developing risks.
    • Identify, escalate, challenge, and monitor the remediation of financial crimes compliance and operational risks through appropriate governance routines and management- and board-level committees.
    • Aggregate and analyze financial crimes risk themes, control enhancements, and issue remediation efforts to support continuous improvement of the control environment.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, preferably with broker dealer experience
    • 5+ years of experience in anti-money laundering (AML), compliance, audit, risk management, or process/ controls-related functions
    • Experience with data acquisition and analytics at Bank of America
    • Knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) and related AML legislation
    • Understanding of Global Wealth Management and/or Global Markets operations, including operational processes and transaction flows.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field
    • Experience within the financial services industry and/or a related government entity.
    • Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across both strategic and tactical initiatives.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including advanced Excel skills.
    • ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) certification preferred.
    • FINRA Series 7 and/or Series 24 license preferred.

    Pay and benefits information

    Pay range

    $105,000.00 - $173,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

    Discretionary incentive eligible

    This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
