Gift Processing & Development Services Analyst (Accountant/Fiscal Analyst I), Salary: $40,269 - $49,330 per year, USCA Development

The Gift Processing & Development Services Analyst in the Office of University Advancement/Advancement Services at USCA to include responsibility for processing gifts, daily batches, coordinating timely acknowledgement of gifts, handling gifts from intradepartmental transfers, auditing Golf Outings and other sponsored events, and working with confidential gift information as well as alumni/donor information on CRM. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must possess knowledge of basic accounting/bookkeeping principles. Must possess excellent computer skills in word processing and database management. Must have ability to effectively plan and organize daily financial reports and gift batches, and prioritize task completion according to schedule and goals; and the ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public; and the ability to maintain concentration and perform multiple concurrent tasks under constant interruption. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Job Duties

Job Duty

Process daily donor gifts, pledges and gifts-in-kind received from alumni and friends. This includes verification of on-line gifts, cash gifts (separate deposit with First Citizens), and daily check reader (BB&T) with Columbia for daily batches and transmittals. Scan detail of each gift. Enters individual gifts into CRM and PaperSave. Process Credit Card gifts and submit through CRM.

Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty

Prepare and coordinate acknowledgement letters/receipts for all gift within 48 hours of receiving gifts for Vice Chancellor signature. This includes gifts, pledges, multi-year pledge reminders and pledge payments, memorial and honorarium gifts. Distinguish and prepare separate report for $1,000+ for separate Chancellor stewardship letter.

Support the Development team with proactive Donor and prospect research. Other duties as assigned.

Serves as an external resource for Donors in handling their contributions and engagement.

Financial liaison with the Columbia Office for stock gifts.

Responsible for updating confidential biographical, corporate, and donor information in the CRM database on alumni, donors and friends. Responsible for updating chart of accounts, invoice aging reports, and pledge aging reports.

Liaison with internal officers to provide oversight, and financial support to the Advancement Office. This includes running data request reports for mailing, solicitation, and invitation letters. Also, assisting Business Officer with pulling Donor list and processing partnership request.

Assists as a member of the USCA Advancement staff at special events (some after hours) as needed.
