Position Summary

Primm Valley Casino Resorts is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer focused Gift Shop Cashier to provide exceptional service while accurately processing retail transactions in the resort gift shop. This position is responsible for assisting guests with merchandise purchases, maintaining an organized and attractive retail environment, and ensuring accurate cash handling procedures. The Gift Shop Cashier also sells alcoholic beverages and must strictly adhere to all Nevada alcohol sales laws, responsible beverage service practices, and company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet every guest with a friendly, welcoming, and professional attitude.
• Accurately process cash, credit card, mobile payment, and other point-of-sale (POS) transactions.
• Sell merchandise, souvenirs, apparel, snacks, beverages, tobacco products, and alcoholic beverages.
• Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company alcohol sales regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor, displays, and checkout area.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and merchandise displays to ensure product availability.
• Assist guests in locating merchandise and provide product information when needed.
• Balance cash drawers and complete end-of-shift reconciliation accurately.
• Monitor inventory levels and promptly report shortages, damaged merchandise, or discrepancies.
• Follow company policies regarding cash handling, security, loss prevention, and guest service.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, pricing, resort amenities, and special events.
• Work collaboratively with team members and management to ensure outstanding guest experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience selling alcoholic beverages is preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic math, cash-handling, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift-up to 25 pounds.
• Must be at least 21 years of age in accordance with Nevada alcohol sales

requirements.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required work cards, including Alcohol Awareness certification and any required gaming or county work permits.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a retail gift shop located within a casino resort.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequent reaching, bending, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
• Must be available to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business demands require.
• Position requires regular interaction with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Work environment may include exposure to second-hand tobacco smoke and vaping in designated casino and resort areas.
