The Gift Shop Coordinator supports the Manager in the day-to-day operations of the shop. Works with the Manager to oversee the Financial Accounting of the Gift Shop, the processing of Inventory Management, Volunteer Scheduling and Training, and Display of Merchandise. In conjunction with the Manager, oversees the daily sales of the Gift Shop grossing approximately $350,000 - $500,000 annually. Responsible for training the volunteer labor force of approximately 35 individuals, both adult and youth. Works with the Manger to plan strategic sales events, meet established sales, support hospital programs, and initiate and evaluate new initiatives to support customer service and increase sales generation.
Required Qualifications:- Require one (1) year experience of previous retail sales/coordination.
- Require one (1) year experience in a customer setting.
- Prefer excellent customer service skills.
- Prefer excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Prefer excellent organizational skills and time management.
- Prefer demonstrated computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Prefer the ability to train and motivate volunteer staff.
- Prefer the ability to work well with a diverse public.
- Prefer experience working with computerized (POS) inventory/sales systems.
- Prefer the ability to handle and reconcile money of various types, cash, credit card, promotional cards to reconcile daily deposits and reports.
HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
Preferred Education:AD: Associate's Degree
