Gift Shop Sales Associate

The Gift Shop Sales Associate is responsible for assisting in merchandise sales and providing outstanding customer service while ensuring that every customer feels welcome at the store.

Duties:

• Actively engage customers in conversation.

• Assist in understanding, demonstration, description, and selection of merchandise.

• Utilize a working knowledge of all retail merchandise including price, any special product, stock location in store and back stockroom.

• Process transactions quickly and accurately.

• Accurately execute any merchandise returns and/or exchanges.

• Ensure store appearance remains neat and organized.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Must be able to obtain an Alcohol Awareness license.

• Minimum six months’ experience in a retail/customer service environment required.

• Working knowledge of cashiering and receipt processing.

• Able to bend and walk for long periods of time and lift up to 15 lbs.

• Able to speak, read and write in English.
