5th Grade Robotics Assistant Coach

POSITION PURPOSE: The Assistant Elementary Robotics Coach assists the head coach in guiding student team members in designing, building, and programming robots. This role fosters teamwork, engineering skills, and a competitive spirit while ensuring a safe, supervised, and organized learning environment during practices and official competitions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assists the head coach during practices with team members to build robots, learn, and practice the game.
• Assists in the supervision of students at all times during practices and competitions
• May communicate practice times, practice expectations, and competition information with parents.
• Attend and supervise the team at all competitions.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Have knowledge of Robotics rules and expectations.
• Flexible schedule to attend all scheduled weekday practices and weekend competition dates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience working with school-aged students in a classroom, camp, or after-school setting is highly valued

SEASON: Fall (Spring)

SALARY: Per extracurricular schedule Group 10
