Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or a related field, along with relevant GIS experience.

• 4–8 years of professional experience in GIS and GIS application development.

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, and delivering web applications.

• Hands-on experience developing web-based mapping applications using the ArcGIS API for JavaScript or similar JavaScript mapping APIs.

• Strong experience developing complex GIS analysis and mapping solutions.

• Advanced proficiency in the ESRI GIS software suite, including ArcGIS Pro 3.x or higher.

• Thorough understanding of ArcSDE and ArcGIS Enterprise components, including ArcGIS Server, Portal, Web Adaptors, and Data Stores.

• Experience developing GIS tools, applications, and multi-layered maps using GIS software and programming technologies.

• Strong proficiency in Python programming and scripting.

• Ability to independently perform complex spatial analyses and develop customized GIS solutions.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, application design, development, and debugging skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Self-motivated professional with a strong technical background and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data extraction, transformation, analysis, and scripting using Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar database technologies.

• Knowledge of Linear Referencing Systems (LRS) and experience with ESRI Roads & Highways or comparable GIS solutions.

• Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing LRS and GIS applications for spatial data management.

• Familiarity with enterprise asset management systems and associated datasets.

• Experience integrating GIS applications with enterprise databases and other business systems.

• Knowledge of reporting and business intelligence tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions.

• Develop and enhance GIS tools using ArcGIS technologies, JavaScript, Python, and other programming environments.

• Perform complex spatial analyses, data processing, and mapping activities.

• Create and maintain interactive maps, GIS datasets, and multi-layered mapping applications.

• Support and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise environments and related GIS infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain Linear Referencing Systems (LRS) and spatial data management solutions.

• Integrate GIS applications with enterprise databases and other systems.

• Troubleshoot application issues, optimize performance, and implement technical improvements.

• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver GIS solutions.

• Prepare technical documentation and communicate application functionality to technical and non-technical users.
