Introduction
We are seeking a skilled GIS Mapper to join our team for a 24-month duration. This role is perfect for individuals with GIS experience, including recent college graduates, who are eager to work in a dynamic environment. The position involves both onsite and hybrid work arrangements, depending on training and work assignments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1-2 years of GIS experience (school or work-related)
Ability to acquire a thorough working knowledge of the company’s business applications, material, equipment, and apparatus used in the work
Familiarity with the Utilities’ Transmission and Distribution systems
Proficiency in MS Office and other Windows applications
Valid driver’s license to operate motor vehicles in the state of New Jersey
Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience with utility systems and GIS applications
Strong analytical skills for data assembly and report preparation
Experience in manual or computer-aided drafting
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Maintain the GIS connected model with information from various sources
Perform analysis or queries to assemble data and prepare reports, charts, and maps
Produce standard prints and ad-hoc plots for field requests
Resolve conflicting data, mapping, connectivity, and land issues
Perform GIS work related to major projects such as facility relocations and load rearrangement
Operate automated office equipment and file records and data
Assist other employees in plant work, in the field, or in the office
