Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Travel Requirements: Limited travel; must be willing and able to support division travel to trade shows and customer sites, as needed.

SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a GIS Software Engineer, Associate to support the design and development of geospatial/geographic information systems (GIS) using advanced programming languages.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Supports the design and development of geospatial-based software with an emphasis on:
- Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs)
- Backend logic and databases
Supports software development, integration, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
Collaborates with engineering team members to develop and enhance GIS software applications.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

Bachelor of Science degree, conferred or currently in the final year of a program, in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline.
Zero to three (0–3) years of relevant software development experience.
Strong understanding of programming concepts, including:
- Object-oriented programming
- Design patterns
- Multi-threading
- Inter-process communication
- Buffering
- Persistence
Experience or academic exposure to C++ and/or C# programming.
Experience or familiarity with ASP.NET, Blazor, .NET Core, and/or Mono is beneficial.

Position Salary Range: $63,000 - $91,000. The listed salary range represents the typical range for this position. WR bases the offered salary on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, knowledge, and skills, scope and responsibilities of the position, and market and business considerations.
