Contract 2.5 Years
2–4 years of experience in a GIS-related role.
Diploma or certificate in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) or a related curriculum.
The GIS Technician is responsible for managing routine GIS tasks, including data management, map creation, and maintaining GIS database accuracy. This role supports the GIS team by ensuring reliable data quality and timely updates, while also contributing to more complex projects under the guidance of GIS Analysts.
Perform routine GIS tasks, including data entry, editing, and management.
Create detailed maps and visualizations using GIS software tools.
Ensure GIS databases are regularly updated and maintained for accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with GIS Analysts and other team members on advanced or cross-functional GIS projects.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data inconsistencies and system errors.
Provide input and suggestions on GIS tools and workflow improvements.
2–4 years of hands-on experience working with GIS software, tools, and databases (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar).
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Basic understanding of cartographic principles, spatial data, and database management.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
